The School of Fine Art has an emphasis on contemporary art, rather than teaching a traditional style. It is located at Headland Park, Georges Heights, in the suburb of Mosman. All classes are hands on and studio based.

The maximum number in a class is 10 to 12 people. This guarantees lots of personal attention from the teacher.
People who join the classes come from a range of experience in art, from complete beginner to someone wanting to develop a body of work for an exhibition
We encourage you and give you lots of structure and exercises to develop your understanding of the basics of art making. You will develop skills in picture making and drawing and visual language.
You will be given more challenging projects that will extend you so you can develop a range of skills. This is still not the time to do your own thing, but a time to experiment and learn different techniques and approaches. Step beyond your comfort zone.
You can expect freedom to develop your own voice within an environment of support and mentoring. Still working closely with an experienced teacher, you might want to go back to basics and discover more distinctions and refine your approach, or you might want to experiment with a whole new body of work.
